How Botox Injections Work
A small amount of botox is injected into a specific muscle which creates the wrinkle. This will block the nerve impulses from reaching the area, allowing the muscles to relax. As the muscle relaxes, the wrinkle is soften and smoothed out. Untreated facial muscles contract normally, allowing normal facial expression to be unaffected.

The Experience
The needle is very small, it's comparable to a mosquito bite. It's a safe procedure which only takes a few minutes. It should only be injected by a doctor with years of experience.

During the first hour utilize the muscle of the treated area. Be expressive. Don't massage area.
Possible Side Effects
Temporary bruising is possible and can be minimized by avoiding Advil /aspirin products and Vitamin E for 7-days prior to treatment. About 1-2% of patients may experience a slight lowering of the eyelid. Mild short-term headaches can occur. There have been no permanent side effects from the use of Botox Cosmetic ®. Injections should be avoided if pregnant or lactating.
The Success
The results begin within 3-5days, the full effect takes 2-3 weeks. Treatment will gradually wear-off in 3-4 months. After several treatments, the effects may last longer (6-8months).
