The MicroLaserPeel (light to moderate resurfacing) is an intra-epidermal laser which precisely ablates the outermost layers of the skin. The procedure is individually customized to each patients condition.
Benefits & Advantages
- Ideal for pigmentary problems, scars, sun damage, wrinkles
- Healing takes about 5-7days
- Immediate change in skin texture
- Subtle results
- Improves texture and elasticity
The Experience The MicroLaserPeel is stronger than a microdermabrasion (10 microns) or light chemical peel, but lighter than a full skin resurfacing (C02). It's minimal to full epidermal peel (20-50 microns) A topical anesthetic is applied about 45-minutes before treatment. You'll have some minor sloughing and itchiness the following day. Immediately after treatment you feel as if you have a bad sunburn.
Aftercare For 2-3 days a protective ointment such as Aquaphore or Vaseline will be used. Thereafter, a moisturizer can be used as well make-up to cover any redness.
The Success The MicorLaserPeel procedure is often repeated 2-4 times, spaced 6-8 weeks apart until desired results are achieved.
